Gaga For Globes: I Searched the World Over . . .

There is a new trend out there that has been circling the globe for awhile, and I am absolutely over the moon about it!  Incorporating vintage globes into your party or wedding is oh-so-romantic; you just can't quite help spinning them and imagining all of the possibilities.

And if you are a couple who loves to travel or a duo who met despite growing up on opposite sides of the world, then this theme could be just perfect for your rehearsal dinner or wedding, don't you think?  And I am loving the thought of an 'It's a Small World', "Love Makes the World Go 'Round', or 'I Searched the World Over' theme.  Take a peek for yourself . . .

Some lovely inspiration from Project Wedding . . .

You can even do seating cards . . .

It is amazing how much rainbow sherbet can look like a globe, no?  And you have to love these cake pops!

You know I can't resist a garland . . .

Chalkboard paint!

Check out these amazing goodies from ImagiNations . . .

'Our World' . . .

A world of butterflies!

Oh , how I LOVE this 'Where The Wild Things Are' version (my son's favorite book!)

A few more appliqued beauties . . .

Out-of-this-world wonderful, right?  And if you are particularly budget savvy, you can usually find these vintage globes at flea markets, consignment shops, or on ebay for around $3-$15, and then you just need to work out your decoupage skills and you are all set for your next Vintage Travel-themed event! Hooray! Photobucket
