When I think of running off to elope at Christmas time, (which I don't often do, considering I have a husband and little boy at home:) I think of falling snow, twinkling lights in the village square, perhaps a chilly little town in the mountains with a pond for skating and a towering Christmas tree set amidst shops decked in garland of red & green.
What doesn't often cross my mind, however, is bringing those very merry vows to the beach in California, which is why I love that Green Wedding Shoes has stepped out of the box and brought us this gorgeous inspiration shoot, designed by the ever-so-talented talented Lindye Galloway Events.
You see, California may be full of sunshine, but what they often fail to mention in the movies is that it can be a tad chilly in the winter months, so this splendid bride and her handsome new husband have gotten it just right with the faux fur and piles of rustic firewood, and a white Christmas tree on the beach is just an image I will never forget . . .
I am so happy with this small shock of golden glitter combined with the rustic wood of the box of flowers . . .
And how about those sparkly, glitter leaves placed ever so elegantly underneath the winter white plate? LOVE!!
A pile of firewood is an unexpected and beautiful natural element . . .
And everyone loves a ruffle cake . . .
So stunning & romantic, right? Simple, thoughtful, & unforgettable and such a beautiful way to start a life and a New Year together too!
