Cheers!: Seven Traditional Irish Toasts for this St. Patrick's Day...

Irish folklore is replete with inspirational quotes, stories, and songs about happiness, love, and luck and has, throughout history, helped the Irish cope with difficulties.

Since Irishmen have always loved celebrating, it is not surprising that some of these colorful sayings were transformed into Irish toasts to show support, understanding, and friendship among the hard-working Irish.

What better time than St. Patrick's Day to perfect your drinking toast and delight your friends?  Here are a few that are sure to get a good chuckle tonight:

1.) I drink to your health when I’m with you, I drink to your health when I’m alone, I drink to your health so often, I’m starting to worry about my own!

2.) May your glass be ever full.  May the roof over your head be always strong.  And may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead.

3.) I once knew a girl who lived on a hill, what she won't do her sister will.  So here's to her sister!

4.) Here's to our wives and girlfriends. May they never meet!

5.) Here's to a long life and a merry one.  A quick death and an easy one.  A pretty girl and an honest one.  A cold beer—and another one!

6.) A toast to your coffin.  May it be made of 100 year-old oak,  and may we plant the tree together, tomorrow.

7.) If you cheat, may you cheat death.  If you steal, may you steal a woman's heart.  If you fight, may you fight for a brother.  And if you drink, may you drink with me!

Cheers...and be careful out there!!

Tutorial Tuesday: St. Patrick's Day Cupcake Toppers!

Want a simple way to infuse a little Irish luck into your St. Paddy's Day desserts?  Here is a quick & easy way to dress up your holiday cupcakes!!

Difficulty Level: EASY
Supplies you will need:
~ cream paper stock (I prefer textured...to give it that classic, vintage look)
~ green paper stock
~ clover craft punch (a heart punch works as well...just punch out 3-4 hearts & arrange into a clover)
~ circle craft punch (a great investment to be used over & over again, for all of your holiday dessert labels.  Juneberry Lane ❤'s Fiskars...)
~ tape
~ toothpicks

Clover hole punch (found at Michael's/Jo Anne's/major craft retailers):

Scallop hole punch (found at major crafte retailers):

1.) Using the green paper stock, punch out clovers with heart or shamrock craft punch.
2.) Using the cream card stock, punch out the decorative circle.
3.) Tape the shamrock to the cream circle.
4.) Tape a toothpick to the back of the cream circle.
5.) Insert the topper into your favorite St. Paddy's Day cupcakes...

ENJOY!!!

St. Patrick's Day Inspiration...

As we head into mid-March, it is time to start thinking of how we are going to celebrate one of my all time favorite holidays, St. Patrick's Day, of course. If you are anything like me, the last thing you will be able to do this March 17th is fight the lines at your neighborhood Irish Pub. So why not create your own little Dublin watering hole right in the comfort of your very own living room?

Invite your friends over and celebrate Irish culture in a way they will never forget! Erin Go Bragh!!

For 'tis green, green, green, where the ruined towers are gray,
And it's green, green, green, all the happy night and day...

The Favors...
What better way to wish your guests the 'Luck of the Irish' all year through then to send them off with a pot full of clovers.
