Picnic in the Park . . .

What's a more dreamy past time than a lazy day lounging park side on a blanket padded by cool tufts of grass?  Not much.  So ditch that kitchen and plan to dine alfresco this weekend . . . once you have the proper gear lined up, you will be all set for a relaxed afternoon under your favorite shade tree or the prettiest outdoor concert under the stars.

First, a little inspiration . . .

Love me a picnic engagement shoot for those foodie couples. . .

Even better?  An autumn one at that . . .

Blessed with a beach nearby?

A little vintage charm . . .

Picnic baskets can cost a small fortune, but here are a few affordable Juneberry Lane picks that are both wallet-friendly and sure to keep you smiling for years to come.

I received my basket years ago as a gift from a dear friend for my birthday...and I just love pulling it out in the summer and stocking it full of my favorite treats.  Take a look at some goodies out there . . .

(Find it at Target for $71.99)

(Available at Walmart for $54.99)

(Get yours at Sears for $63.99)

(Also at Sears-and includes the BBQ tools! for $99.99)

And how about this amazing contraption designed for the most outdoorsy wine lover . . .

(available at Pottery Barn for $19.99)

Sheer perfection!  If you are getting married and working on getting a registry, don't forget to get a good basket on your list...a romantic day outdoors will keep the romance going for years to come and you'll never regret it!!

A Petite French Bebe Shower Soirée...C'est Magnifique!

Ooh La La, this French inspired baby shower is truly fantastique!!  The invitations, the favors, the menu, the decor.  Original, vintage-inspired...well it just has that Je ne sais quoi!

When Jackie Wonders discovered she was about to have her second baby girl, the lovely ladies over at Posh Paperie  wanted to throw her a small & intimate shower, but something very different than the “normal” baby girl shower (pink!).  So, they chose a French themed “pique nique” and played with the palette of red, indigo blue, cream & burlap.  Behold...

A banner honoring the new baby girl on the way, Wren, was made of silver glitter chipboard letters . . .

The desserts?   Bite-sized cream puffs, eclairs, fruit tarts, fresh fruit with mint garnish, & shortbread cookies).

The perfect game for this fabulous little shower ~ match the french (baby) word to the english.  I just love this stunning party & hope you enjoyed it as much as I have...
